Our umpires are more than just whistle blowers. They’re on the court to keep the game fair and make sure everyone gets to play netball in a friendly, safe and fun way. There’s some added bonuses too – you’ll be part of a vibrant netball community and get pretty fit. And, you don’t need to be a netball expert. We’ll give you support and everything you need to understand the game and keep things fair.

What do you Need to become an umpire?
You
will need to login and create a profile at netball learning and complete
and pass the netball exam - 70% minimum for a Pass Website https://learning.netball.com.au/login/
Be a registered member of Centenary/WDNA
or Netball Queensland
There is no minimum age to start
however we do encourage from the age of 11-12 Years and older. Must be
confident in applying the rules.
You will need to attend a Beginner Introduction to Umpiring Course - CNC will hold one at the beginning of the season before fixtures begin.
White shirt can be worn or Club
shirt, dark or white shorts/skirt (Players are permitted to wear their Umpiring
Shirt over their playing uniform)
Whistle & Hair tie to assist with your
direction of Centre pass
Statement of Supplier form

Complete your Online Exam
Get in contact with our Umpiring convenor to express interest in umpiring for the season.
Complete your Introduction to Umpiring Course ( beginners)
Get some Practice -Talk to your coach about umpiring your games at training to practice and build your skills.
Rosters will be done on a weekly basis, Please advise Umpiring Convenor your availability in the lead up to Saturday Games.
All Umpires are responsible for ensuring they are at their allocated game 10min prior to game time.

Trainee - $15 per game
WDNA Accreditation - $25 per game
National C Badge - $30 per game
National B Badge - $35 per game
